I know it's not actually a real thing because I'd never seen the phrase more than a month ago and it's getting thrown around as the new insult du jour but what is it supposed to mean?

FWIW the Haz guys in particular seem to have a really flat definition of patriotism that seems to mostly just involve a lot of uncritically leaning into republican jingoism, hokey hard hat riot throwback workers-vs-hippies imagery, and sappy cottagecore fare.
On a personal level their general eagerness to preserve American culture as it exists, defined by conservatives and forever lusting after their idealized past and traditions, doesn't sit well with me. The sense that there's nothing more to life than just reliving the lives of those before me until I die always filled me with dread -- A constant, background source of alienation that contributed to me looking into left politics to begin with. I ended up here in hopes that I'd be able to break free of all that and just live.
