In effect, the open door policy meant that not only were employees failing to band together and improve their conditions, but they were helping themselves up by going and buddying up to the boss while trashing each other. Just completely toxic.
My managers have an open door policy for addressing workplace issues. So ganging up against them? That just doesn't feel right.
