Obviously the US government continues to be a fuck, but what are some things going on that we can genuinely root for/support?

I have zero evidence to back this up, but I feel like we could really see the co-op movement take off in America in the next few years. It's amazing how literally 99% of my friends absolutely hate their jobs situations. And a lot of them (really everyone who isn't emotionally or personally invested in a heirarchal business structure i.e. the PMC and small business owners or strivers I know) get really excited about the idea of getting together with their friends or just other cool people and running a business democratically. Granted, you can like the idea but not actually do anything about it. But I feel like we're gonna see more millenials and zoomers start co-ops instead of just trying to start a business. Have been seeing this crop up a lot personally as well & a lot of artist/maker circles are getting into it. Myself and a few friends have been considering consolidating into a small studio.

The idea of running a business where responsibility is evenly distributed/democratically run is incredibly appealing to most people & the only people who don't like co-ops are control freaks.

Probably wishful thinking/anecdotal, but I've seen a few other artist groups including our local guild succeed so it is possible.

That's the thing, strip out all the socialism from a co-op and I still don't know who would rather work in a typical corporate office, grocery store, warehouse, etc over that.

just for some feedback, this sounds like some very wishful thinking.
