There is a conspiracy theory that Lindsay Graham is gay because he doesn't have a wife. Apparently bring gay is bad. To add to that, there is a very unsubstantiated claim where some male escort came forward and said that Lindsay solicits sex under the name "Lady G". It's an attempt to emasculate Graham through misgendering and bringing up how icky it is to be gay.
Call them out for their homophobia on reddit results in several downvotes from Democrats and a weak explanation of how it's actually ok to make fun of someone's sexuality because they support anti gay policy.

ill elaborate though; regardless of someones hypocritical and asinine stance, you shouldnt make fun of their intrinsic being, let alone fabricate that quality in them so that you can make fun of it.
