I was once a young kid living in an apartment that had the utilities shut off due to non payment. I didn’t understand why it was so cold or why I couldn’t get a drink of water.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for having integrity and compassion.

Many of the bravest and most impactful actions flow not from morals but instead grow from a place at our core where we finally acknowledge feeling dissatisfied.

Saying ‘No’ is a revolutionary act.

Fired for refusing to commit a crime against humanity. Both morally and in liberal international law. May we all have your determination when such a choice comes.

In a lot of US jurisdictions (where i’m assuming this happened) it’s actually illegal for landlords to turn off water and power no matter what, even if tenants are failing to pay the bills. Their legal recourse is supposed to be the eviction process, not whatever bullshit these people were trying to pull.

You did the right thing, thank you. It’s absolutely immoral to force people in jobs that are there to help people, like plumbers, to participate in breaking into someone’s home to deprive them of the needs to survive. Fuck those cops, fuck the landlord, and fuck your boss in particular.

Thank you for your heart. o7

I hope you get a job back quickly. Wouldn't want someone like you to suffer because of having a conscience.
