I've just recently gotten into photography, and I've purchased a Canon Rebel T1i. Well, when i went to buy it, the tax made it go over my budget, by two dollars and fifteen cents. I called up my parents and asked for 2 dollars. My mom then blew her fucking lid on me about how asking for money is taking advantage of her and she didn't agree to pay me and how i should just fucking save more next time- We're not poor, either. Anyone else deal with something like this before?

further update- My mom just came in here and blew up further, insulting me for being invested in my hobbies, told me i was overreacting, and then as i said "This type of conversation never works out because you consistently fire shots at me and insult me, i have no desire to speak to you right now" she blamed me for her abusing me and then attempted to gaslight me by telling me what i 'Actually' said.

OK, this is definitely sounding like a personality disorder. Watch Dr. Ramani's youtube videos about narcissism. She tells you how to deal with narcissistic parents, and had narcissistic parents herself. She's amazing and her videos are very entertaining. There's a video about pretty much every aspect of dealing with a narcissist, so there's something for you there.

admins should honestly make sure the whole site scrubs uploaded image metadata

I think the admins said that the site does that, but always best to make sure.

Last time I read the code for the image microservice, the Metadata is indeed scrubbed. So unless anyone changed it after, there is no Metadata leak.

A Canon T1i lacks a GPS module, so the worst thing that could get leaked is the anti-theft identification number or S/N, too. Which isn't good, but not as bad as, say, GPS data.

That being said, everyone should know how to and form a habit of scrubbing metadata. So assume we're CIA!

I remember working something like 60 days in a row in my post-college economy. When I got back home after working two jobs one day I had to do laundry and my mom said something like, "I don't know, it's not as if the rest of us have to change our living habits to let you use the laundry because you can't budget properly and change jobs every few years."

Anyway, I left the country to earn a living. Lived on a rural island in Asia my first year. My parents told me to toughen up and make sacrifices, so they can toughen up too about the fact they only see their child once every few years now.

My grandparents are like this, especially in my early twenties and struggling with how shitty they raised me. Now that I'm doing well I pretty much don't talk to them and they're "upset" about it.

Try living 3000 miles away from your boomer chud parents. Every time you talk to them they make you feel guilty for not visiting them. Like sorry I’m not going pay up to 2k And take what little vacation time I get to watch you guys watch Fox News and eat shitty food for a few days.

I was just thinking how lucky I am my dad grew up dirt poor. He kept me humble and always said “don’t worry we’ll buy more” whenever me and my brother would fight over food lol.

I remember my boomer grandpa took me and my cousins to lunch once. He got pissed at me for ordering the most expensive thing on the menu... at Taco Bell. How much is a grilled stuffed chicken burrito, like $3.50?

He kind of got fucked in the end. IBEW worker, never spent shit, saved it all for my uncle, my aunt, and my mom, and lost everything to his second wife. Gave my uncle a heart attack.

Is she normally like this? If so, maybe it's a symptom of a personality disorder. If not, she might be in pain in some way and would have given a shitty response to anything.
