This is the most important election of our lives. Not important enough to hire, like, one person to watch the boxes to make sure they aren't set on fire though.

In the foreground a person is wreathed in smoke as they reach for a pile of burning material that has been pulled from an open ballot drop box. Vancouver, Washington is just north of Portland, Oregon. Home to large numbers of remote-work libertarians because Washington has no income taxes and Oregon has no sales taxes.
Ngl, that sounds kinda sweet. It's like the people who work in Chicago and then live at the absolute edge of Wisconsin.
Sweet for them but Vancouver (WA) is a shell of a town as a result because they spend all their time & money in Portland.
I blame Washington though for having some of the most regressive tax laws in the country.
Oof, I'm sorry. I remember wanting to move to Washington for the weather when I was younger. (That or Boston or Louisiana.) But money (or lack thereof) has largely kept me confined to the Midwest.
You only have to move in there quietly, without shelling everything, and you can annex a good chunk of most countries, the US simply isn't telling anybody about this because they kinda just really enjoy selling bombs.
Strategically mounting your border checkpoint on roller skates so you can quietly move it a meter every year...

I thought Vancouver, Washington was next to Portland, Ontario! I need a map scientist to help me out here.
Nobody is going to employ someone to stand next to every ballot drop box, that's silly. This is extremely rare and also not worth trying to avoid.
Okay I'm yelling but I promise it's to make fun of how libs discuss this as a critical existential event but take no actual actions to secure victory, not even largely passive actions like just protecting ballots and ballot access.
