      It's quite insidious, it instills the idea that justice always prevails in the end, bad guys get their comeuppance, that there is someone in charge making sure everything is going to be ok and that's simply just not the case.

        See: every crime drama ever.

        The cops walk away from a job well done at the end of every episode. They're everyone's best friend and nobody is worried about talking to them without a lawyer.

          Yeah and they are like good hearted people with a conscience and strong sense of justice. Even the mavericks who dont play by the rules but by god they get results.
