I mean Cuba would need my support if I were a WTO Commissioner or UNSC member, but as it stands in my currently ability to interact and effect the world, giving Cuba my "support" is a pretty meaningless rhetorical notion.

I mean the issue with that is it takes support and redefines it so that it doesn't involve the participation of or even effect the party I'm nominally supporting.

Essentially, it's taking support for Cuba and making about me and not anything to do with Cuba.

what. I don't mean like cheer them on or hang a flag up, support them by voting for a candidate like La Riva who wants to bring attention to the blockade. I'd argue that shifting the overton window to at least mention the blockade is a pretty big deal and not meaningless.

If you're upset that your "support" amounts to a single vote, then yeah, that's democracy. But use that little bit of power to vote for someone trying to bring attention to one of the worst humanitarian crisis caused by the USA. Harm reduction exists for people outside of the White Amerikkkan middle class.
