Many of these developments are completely unwalkable. No stores or schools or public amenities in sight. You want to get anywhere, it's by car. That's inherently unsustainable.
putting so many cars on the road inherently creates strain on road and other infrastructure, which further fucks up the environment with the need to build highways and arterial roads.
