Most progressive president ever bro

Apologies to the offended for posting ContraPoints, didn't know that YouTuber, just thought the meme was funny.

Medium-hot take - save for a few, basically all of the OG breadtube people have become self-absorbed and self-indulgent libs.

So many "leftists" have gone from "never biden" to "we have to vote out drumf", it's kinda sad.

Renegade cut has pretty much always been solid imo. He’s my one special boy.

There are also a few of the bigger ones that just put out content so slowly that it feels more like they just haven’t had enough of a chance to fuck up yet.

Renegade Cut is definitely still good - along with some more people like Jack Saint or Down the Rabbit Hole.

I think it's funny that at some point Big Joel tweeted that he disliked the breadtube label and that he felt its demise was imminent - it's quite true that it kind of imploded once it reached critical mass and you could start to tell who were part of that "cultural zeitgeist" and who weren't.

yeah, and i wouldn't call big joel a breadtuber, he only really came up a few years ago, after breadtube was a thing, and never really tried to be a part of it. he's just a good video essayist in my book, same as folding ideas or lindsay ellis.

Not really, just most of us moved much further left since we first started watching any of them.

I'm continuously surprised when people are shocked and go "this breadtuber is a lib," like, they were all always soc-dems, dem-socs, or maybe soft socialist in some cases -- I don't know where people are getting this idea that they were some kinds of revolutionary communists in the past and just now are showing their lib tendencies?

Super fair point, I think I shitposted instead of explaining myself correctly - I guess on my end I kind of just feel that some of the now bigger creators are more concerned about flash/presentation than content. And yeah, of course Natalie was always really into presentation and Olly is really enjoying finally being able to produce the sort of content he wanted to with his theatre background and more the power to them but I feel that the actual arguments/discussions have fallen to the wayside a bit. Question of taste I guess!
