about half way he says something along the lines of "the christian right have willfully severed themselves from reality and are immune to logic"...I agree with this to an extent but I also retort a bit; They just shut off the parts of reality that aren't detrimental to their existence and their prosperity. Aspects of art, culture, society, other people, facts, science, laws, morality, etc...However, this time around, they are not separated from us in our fate. In the past we needed socialism to live, they could keep living with capitalism, so it was a debate..now because of climate change, we all need socialism...there is no debate. The right will have 2 choices soon; Live socialist or die capitalist. This is undoubtable. As for how things will pan out in the micro; My prediction is the more conservative capitalists who are more self centered will ignore reality until they die from material consequences..I think the liberals will ignore reality and try to fascism but once the reality becomes apparent to them, and things get too much to bear physically or logically, they will switch sides for their family/legacy. If I'm right, hopefully the liberal big bourgeoisie will switch sides too, that would help a LOT but I'm not holding my breathe since they already live in Richistan and not Earth.
