      It's just... my fruit isn't interactive at all! It's hard to choose eating fruit (boring) over a more engaging activity like changing the settings on my smart aquarium.

    Who the fuck would eat these pustule-covered oranges? We already have easily-peelable clementines.

    Why use gene-splicing tech for frivolous shit like this instead of, I dunno, genetically modifying oranges to grow in drought conditions? Climate change should be pushing our ag scientists to develop gene-edited climate-resilient crops (side note: Cuba and the PRC would be batshit not to be trying to do that once they finish that covid19 vaccine) and venture capitalists are throwing money at...this awful application??
