like dude it's just so disrespectful to refer to it as a handout, where I'm from originally people can barely get money together without having 4 roommates to pay rent etc.

my girlfriends dad has been slaving away for over a decade at a culinary school position barely making enough, but god forbid he relies on a "handout" during a pandemic. his school has confirmed cases and he's severely diabetic but nah dude "handouts are bad" so go to work. gtfo.
