    Consider:

    • The old sub had 150K+ users and was growing fast.
    • The podcast (there's a podcast??) is the closest thing to a mainstream, openly-Marxist media program.
    • "DoD funds" sounds scary, but in reality all you'd have to do to fuck with the community is take one or two of your least-competent Pentagon toadies, lock them in a room with basic desktop computers, and tell them they can't come out unless they shitpost all day. And that's assuming you don't know how to create a bot or pay the hacker known as 4chan some gamer bux to do it for you.

This is a country that went to literally comical lengths to do involved, real-world infiltrations of all sorts of much smaller leftist groups. It's preposterous to think that we're not on the radar of (at least) some "fuck with this list of lefty groups" interference program.

We see some of that, I'm sure, but there are also plenty of folks with good intentions who are still buying U.S. propaganda on the subject, and plenty of more anarchist- or libertarian socialist-minded folks who are at least making good-faith criticisms of China.

I'm sure, they're easier to spot though. Feds are gonna argue in bad faith and use similar language to each other.
