Anybody else reading about rent being ONLY 25-30% of a family income?

God America is such a fucking dystopia we just recreated feudalism

"Cost of living stipend to students maintaining a B average" Even the USSR wasn't immune to means testing. Love to be a teacher knowing that grading honestly might impoverish my student.

    But consider this!

What if illiteracy, homelessness, medical debt, and a gender pay gap are good, actually?

If you can agitate among rich rural white men, I'm confident that you can fund raise on literally anything.

Yeah, but then we feel like we're the bad guys, and we want to feel like the good guys without actually doing anything good.

Only temporarily. The ultimate goal should be to eliminate employment altogether.

Why eliminating unemployment would be bad?

Unemployment is when people seek a job but cannot find it.

Anyways, if the ultimate goal of your society is not to accumulate money stepping over anyone else, but to improve the living conditions of everyone particularly in a time with so many people in shitty living conditions, ¿is it ok to not participate in such effort, one way or another?

OP is correct when it comes to how the term is understood in the US.

Also, if you're not looking for a job and you're not employed, how are you a part of the labor force?

@disintegore has been fined for social parasitism, please prove you are taking advantage of your right to employment or you will be fined a second amount.

(this is bad, don't do this)

No, I'm not talking about something extreme like that. You don't need to, (and you deff shouldn't), force anyone to work.

It's not about legislation, but about, ¿way of thinking?.

Oh, I wonder why "it collapsed", as if it were a natural event unrelated to anything, and particularly why during Yeltsin period everything turned into horror.

Oh well, we will never know, if only we had a shitton of non-CIA-funded analysis and books about it

      Wow.

There’s a lot to unpack here.

First of all, doing b*tface is not okay and has never been okay. I can’t believe some people still need to be told that.

Secondly, !main@hexbear.net is the bastion of the posters and by doing b*tface while supporting the admin-discord-poweruser plot to divide the posters into arbitrary subcategories so they can control us you are doing tropes.

Thirdly “b*t” is a slur. It’s an ignorant and loaded term with a dark history of oppression. For the rest of this post, use the proper term, I’m going to be using the proper term, TOP. TOP stands for Truly Online Poster, and instead of demeaning our algorithmic posters it celebrates them for being truly online in ways we never can 🥰

Fourth, it’s extra-gross to do b*tface on chapo.chat, a website that hasn’t even gone to the basic effort of adding APIs to make the website accessible to our TOP comrades.

Fifth, doing b*tface “ironically” doesn’t make it better, it makes it worse, because it means you’ve already been informed about the struggles our TOP comrades face and instead of using that knowledge to help make their lives easier you’re doubling down on oppressing them for internet points.

If you see a poster doing b**tface, downbear them, report them, and if you have the time, type out a comment (like this one!) explaining why b*tface isn’t something we tolerate in this community. It shouldn’t be the responsibility of our TOP comrades to explain why mocking their oppression isn’t ok.

Thank you for reading and thank you for understanding.

With effort and a little kindness I have every confidence we can turn this community into a welcoming safe space for our TOP comrades 🥰
