Theyre not totally wrong about radlibs. Ive seen a lot of people fall hard for the settle for biden thing. They start "Sure he's my last choice but at least hes not trump!" And then hes eventually elevated to sainthood like obama, he can no longer do any wrong.

they're probable better as self described "progressives" and not the left, but

"You can't criticize him because it helps Trump win" has become "you can't criticize him." Hopefully that will change when they see how awful he is.

Yeah, after all, M4A cost him so many votes. Anything you do now could definitely sway the runoff elections!

I don't think this is a foregone conclusion. People never said "sure he's my last choice, but at least he's not Bush" about Obama, for instance. People fucking loved him -- in large part because he ran (at least in 2008) to the left of the party establishment on an issue people care deeply about (healthcare). He also had the "wow I guess maybe we're not that racist anymore if we can elect a black president" boost, which is much more credible to libs who don't have any real class analysis in their politics.

Biden has none of that, and he's far less capable at papering over his shortcomings than Obama (probably the most "shit, this guy looks and acts like a president" president we've had since at least Reagan).

I'm talking about some people I know who already think he's perfect now. Hopefully its a minority, but I dont know. I know he has done literally nothing, their affinity for him doesn't make sense, but it seems to exist in my experience.

I think they just realize hes gonna be the president, there's nothing you can do about it and really infatuate themselves with him to convince themselves that hes not that bad.

That's a good point, especially if that bootstraps itself into genuine enthusiasm.
