Rate my entirely (literally 100%) made up resume.

Unsure if employers can easily check status of High school diploma/GED so unsure what I'm gonna put in the education part.

    Need some feedback. https://i.imgur.com/ygfTMVv.png

Everybody lies on resumes - you just need to avoid getting caught doing so.

I assume it's trivial for them to check if they are motivated to do so. But you could - pun intended - do your homework by using the name of a school that closed down. The net and tech in general have made people super-lazy. If it takes more effort - they'll likely just say fuck it.

But you'll still need to google that school so can sell the lie if needed. You need to know the name of the football team, etc.

Difficult as I am from small town Canada and there arent really any schools that have closed down around here. The types of jobs I am looking at applying for are entirely entry level and not skill dependent at all so I wonder how likely they are to check regardless of if it is even possible or not.

The most annoying part is I would 100% get my GED first if they actually offered any testing right now but for the entire year the testing centers have been closed. I basically have no option but to lie about it.

          Difficult as...

Oh. I can't think of a workaround for a fake school in that case. I think an online fake degree is a huge mistake. They probably always check that kind of thing.

I basically have no option but to lie about it.

Telling the truth is often a (big) loser but...

You could say that on your resume with a tweak - something like: I will get my GED once the testing centers reopen.

that's when they're more likely to check. if it's skill-dependant, they assume you must be telling the truth about your education if you have the skills.

They aren't gonna check. And if they do, they just won't call you back
