cyberpunk is easily the most entertaining game of all year. Haven't played it, but it keeps entertaining me nonetheless

technically it came out in 2019 and probably a boring choice here but disco elysium, I played it in like february.

this year, wasn't super great for games, for me anyway... I really liked bugsnax more than I thought, and paper mario TOK was better than I thought it would be but uh... weren't a lot of bangers in 2020.

I would say Hades as well.

I thought it would win GotY at the Game Awards.

    Top three:

    1. Animal crossing
    2. Crusader kings 3
    3. Spelunky 2

It wasn't a great year for games, not all years can be 2019.

What were the really good games of 2019 you liked? And yeah animal crossing and ck3 were great. Haven’t played either Spelunky but planning to, I love roguelikes

2019 had sekiro, outer wilds and disco elysium, which are probably in my top ten games of all time. Control, fire emblem, death stranding and baba is you are also great.

Glad you liked it. I wish I did. I loved the original like a child.

In short, the combat was more of the same, but the boss battles were kind of shitty in comparison to the first (especially the quick time events). In addition that sand burrowing ability was only thrown in to piss people off. No QA person would think it's acceptable and playable as a main aspect of the game.

I didn't hate it, but christ it didn't live up to the first.

While Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been really fun, I did put over 200 hours into Animal Crossing: New Horizons earlier this year. So it would be my top pick.
