Can't remember the dude's name, but he put out a ton of survivalist/anarchist newsletters that were compiled into books. He has some rather, uh... advanced formulations.

"The Poor Man's James Bond", by Kurt Saxon. Pretty sure he's a right-winger, but technical knowledge has no ideology. All of it's on archive.org, here's Volume 1.

Oh, right: a LOT of the material covered in his volumes could harm others, yourself, or property. But a lot of it is straight up useful to protect yourself in adverse situations, like protests-turned-Sturmabteilung-rallies. The link is provided for informational purposes only.

"The Poor Man's James Bond is a five book survivalist, compiled by former American Nazi Party member Kurt Saxon."

Chapo won't read theory but will gladly recommend literature written by nazis.

The problem I think is that you shouldn't throw it overhead but with a sideways motion.

This seems like a good place for me to wonder aloud about those cheap water balloon slingshots. You know, basically a pair of exercise cables with a holder in the middle? I bet a few people with a little practice could launch all sorts of things with terrifying range and precision.
