For those unfamiliar with Southlake near Dallas, it is one of the wealthiest suburbs in the state of Texas. I've known many people that went to high school there, and they are all top cunts.
You know what? I get one of the complaints here - one of them hit me and made me sad - that the parents are concerned that their white kids will be labeled and bullied in schools due to teaching of white privilege. I doubt that it happens, but maybe it does, and potentially there are innocent kids that are going to internalize some self hate.
I'm certain there is a component that teaches the white kids that they shouldn't be bigots, but that they don't have to be bad and part of the problem.
The bad part about this whe situation is that the stupidity and racism of the parents mean that these kids get to grow up hating their racist stupid parents, and having that internalized dissonance between what they are taught is decent and what they see at home.
Anyway, don't take this as support for parents or being against CCAP, because that is not what I am saying. I guess I'm just sad for a certain subset of kids that may not be pieces of shit already but have pieces of shit for parents and will get no support at home.
I think this is a problem not with teaching cultural competency but the liberal way in which it will most likely be taught
