If you measure imperialism by income credit per capita (a reasonable measure Michael Roberts used, with the reasonaing that advanced firms/countries draw wealth from subaltern countries) you find that the worst, most egregious imperialist countries are:
Sweden
USA
UK
France
Germany
Canada
Japan
Australia
Hungary
Spain
Italy
South Korea
(Also note that since Lenin wrote Imperialism, these are basically all the same countries he would have railed against - with an exception for Korea because it was occupied by Japan at the time)
Another way of determining Core/Periphery could be that Peripheral countries tend to trade mainly overseas whereas Core countries freely trade with each other, i.e. a ratio between trade with neighbouring countries/trade overall is probably a good measure of if a country is exploited or not (the lower the worse off).
