I mean, yeah it’s a photo op, and a pretty damn good one at that. They’ve given themselves a story they can tell for the rest of their lives. Idk. It’s meaningless, but I also see why in the moment you’d do something like thet

Yeah the tweet author is really playing up the nature of the task of walking a box of paper from one place to another while unarmed and clearly not under any expectation to do anything but duck and run should the actual security of the box come into question.

      At least they're wearing flats.

One on the right has a good fashion sense, not a tradwife Wojack, but close. I will say, I am suspicious that the box contains adrenocrhome or something and not actually ballots

To my absolutely untrained eye, those are practically the same dress with different prints. What am I missing?

Ok, I don’t claim to be an expert by any stretch, but it strikes me as different even tho it’s the same dress. Because of archaic bullshit, people have to dress up for Congress. Wearing a dress with a pattern (right) versus a more traditional print (left) may be a distinction. They could both be tradwife chuds, but they are holding high profile jobs. Anyway, the I could see left or liberal women wearing a pattern like the right; but harder to envision AOC or someone of similar age left of center wearing a print.

Does that help? Just my two cents from observation

That the pattern might be less traditional than the print is what I was missing, thanks.

To be clear, I wasn't implying that either actually holds trad values based on their clothes, I get that Congressional dress code is stodgy. They just look like the meme, especially the left one.

That said, it suddenly occurs to me that this is probably a bipartisan pair of aides and I think we can all now spot the Republican.

Bingo. I would give it better than 50% chance that right is a dem and better than 70% chance that left is republican

When you parallel the actions of the lady from 200 years ago and claim progress and a victory for feminism. Female empowerment is when you carry the thing as you run away from a giant wave of toxic masculinity.

I wonder if they were the same people Klobuchar ordered to leave the safe zone to get Duckworth.
