Pinyin is obviously the correct choice since Wade-Giles is an incredibly bad (and imperialist) system, which is why the counter-revolutionaries on Taiwan still used it until a couple years ago, when they threw in the towel and started using the only system that makes any kind of sense. But I do kind of like the bizzare and convoluted spellings you get with Wade–Giles, only a syphilitic old British man would try to pronounce a simple Ze as Tse.
TIL there's an actual system behind the idiotic romanization of Chinese words and names. I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse.
Even worse are names which use obscure system or different name like "Chiang Kai-shek" for Jiang Jieshi.
