You can go into the communities page, join all the comms you like, then go into setting and set your feed from all to subscribed.
Might not be exactly what you want, because you'd have to keep up on what new comms arise, as their posts won't automatically show up in your feed, but yeah.
The other annoying thing is that there is no "subscribe all" button. Also I think mine is broken because it says I am not subscribed to some stuff I know I am subscribed to.
