Like, when I think about the fact that the PRC, founded in 1949, has lasted longer than the Soviet Union it makes me think of how long ago the collapse was. Yet SEVERAL players on my closest Canadian hockey team (sens) were born in the Soviet Union! This thought just occurred to me, even though I’m not into sports. It’s just weird that relatively young folk playing professional sports in Canada were born in a time that seems so far away today. Such a weird perspective.
