and even that is too much in my view,” and that he planned to pass gun control by sneaking it in an essential, omnibus bill.

Biden also went on to say that he wants a law which requires guns to be biometrically locked to the owner’s fingerprints.

Kojima, yet again, called it. Fuck me.

this will do nothing to stop mass shootings, but it will do everything to stop people who struggle to disarm a gunman and use it against him

I watched a documentary a while back on the spree shooter Randy Stair and his said a line in his manifesto that stood out to me, "you can't stop mass shootings, you can only endure them". Yeah, he was right. Until neoliberal capitalism is abolished and solidarity is built within the working class and the workers are no longer alienated from their labor, people are going to continue to snap. Add in the isolation that comes from the internet age, suburbs, toxic gun fetish culture and a mental healthcare system that's basically in shambles at this point, and well this is what you get.

Felix in one of the previous episodes mentioned that US Imperialism also fostered a cultural idea of people being "disposable" and I kind of think that has credence as well.

But that's also a +1 to the idea Communism would stop mass shootings since it would raise the value of human lives rather than reduce it like neoliberalism and capitalism does.

Mostly it's just bullshit technocratic nonsense that isn't actually workable.

But also it's about disarming poor people.

HAHAHAHA now I am just imagining Ian leading the Baath party. Makes me wonder what guns he would make standard in his armies.

Nah it was just a forgotten weapons video that was with a guy who gives off insane "selous squad worshipper" vibes.

              Ian's actually fine.

Now I know fascists have been arming for decades against liberals, those largely disarmed liberals concentrated in places dependent on the conservative rural areas surrounding them with all those guns, but hear me out. What if we all turned in our guns and then tell the fascists to turn in their guns as an act of civility. Those militias full of Y'all Qaeda zealots that we can't convince to wear a mask during a pandemic, they're going to listen to the people who come to take their guns. A democrat said so and they accept that democrat is president.

It's such a fucking terrible interview, too. The dumb fuck is sitting there bragging about getting lobbied to by the chairmen of AstraZenica and DuPont, because he's too much of an idiot to realise they're not taking the train for fun with him.
