Don't be fooled by the kayfabe. Dems barely try at all because actually using their full power to do what most of their voters want is off-script, with said script written by their bourgie donors. Dems regularly sabotage themselves whenever the GOP can plausibly be blamed (including when they aggravate this with their own additional deliberate sabotage of the Dems), because their leaders have no skin in the game and can fail upward as much as they want. The Dems are paid to lose unless the ruling class thinks the current GOP leadership is too destabilizing. Nothing more than controlled opposition. The political theater presented on CNN should be viewed through the same lens we use to interpret WWE wrestling.
