Given him a fair trial at Nuremberg, and then the rope. The nazi elite dreaded this, viewing it as humiliation. To them, suicide was the "honorable" and "face saving" option to go out after catastrophic failure (cf. Göring and Goebbels also killing themselves, or Rommel's suicide after the Africa campaign).

There's also reports that Hitler came up with the galaxy brain take that the Soviets may put his embalmed corpse on display, as a kind of Anti-Lenin, to immortalize the defeat of Nazism. Presumably, this is why he ordered his corpse to be burned (i guess he didn't consider the option that his ashes may have been put to rest in Moscow's first gender neutral bathroom). There's zero evidence for the USSR having any plans like that, but it illustrates how obsessed the Nazi-Bonzen got over the last tiny thing they could still control, their own death.
