Putting chapo on the same level as south park has got to be one of the later forms of liberalism.

We can change thr name or whatever and thats fine but turning our backs on the comrades that made us the terrible internet poisioned people we are is not a good look.

Just cause they created the chapo brand doesn't mean they have any real control over it. Many of thr posters here have pointed out, they are a decreasinly important part of it.

That's thing, if you actually like and respect the podcast you should respect the fact that the podcasters themselves genuinely do not want to be associated with us and would prefer we change the name.

Dunno but they knew about the sub and they spoke out against it, and what seemed to me to be pretty sincere.

it's been a running meme since the subreddit that half the people here don't even listen to the podcast. tons of people joined the subreddit before even knowing what the podcast actually was. the podcast hosts hated the subreddit (and presumably this website).

i don't think they 'made' this community at all.

And yet we still use their vocabulary, their sense of humour, their bits, their characters and names, we have their faces as emojis, we argue over their takes... Despite many other proposals, they're the only piece of media we have a com for.

They're imbedded in our history. They're imbedded deep in the community, to far to ever be removed.

          You can't escape.

And yet, If not for them the subreddit wouldn't have existed. Being part of the of the wolf pack was what let us grow to be more than libs
