Isn't that just two different types of starch? And rice is not a balanced protein. I don't think it is easy to have a balanced macro-nutrient ratio for a vegan diet excluding beans and lentils.

Vegetables, plant milk, rice, flour, all have protein.
Rice has protein and I eat enriched rice.
