I do not like them here or there.
I do not like them anywhere.
I do not like Ted Cruz and chuds.
I do not like misgendered spuds .
I'm losing my mind at how funny this is. Fully grown macho men acting like they're totally owning the libs by buying overpriced children's books because of a threat that they made up is really fucking funny
I love that it's not even one of the books that is no longer being published. It's one of three or so (Grinch and Cat and the Hat being the others?) which is produced in the largest volume making it the cheapest for Ted Cruz to buy.
You have to have the perfect combo of smart and stupid, it's a razor's edge to get a good right wing grift going. I could never do it because I'd over think it and end up exposing myself but for people like Ted, the stupidity and tiny hint of smart comes organically.
Hawleys gonna join on the fun, get carried away and start mailing copies of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
was green eggs and ham one of the ones that went out of print? what is the ideological incentive here?
No, that one was fine. Nobody would want a copy of the banned books. I've never even heard of them. “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” and “If I Ran the Zoo” are b-list and nobody would recognize them.
None of his more popular books got put out of print, you can still easily get The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who, The Grinch. The ones they put out of print were like super unpopular and probably only known to mega Seuss fans. And you can still easily find used copies everywhere they price probably has just gone up a bit.
Couldn’t you just buy a copy of green eggs and ham for like 5 bucks?
