This is completely unconscionable. As Vice President I will make sure that police officers also have zip ties until we can design and issue smaller handcuffs.

    • Violate a student's IEP to force him to eat lunch in an unsuitable setting
    • Get mad at the 8 year old boy for not being comfortable sitting and eating in said setting
    • Escalate the 8 year old instead of allowing him to go somewhere more comfortable for him to eat
    • Shocked when the boy lashes out
    • Call the police because an 8 year old boy hit you
    • Cop arrests the kid for felony assault
    • Cop lies about the father not being there, which I think is illegal?

Fucking hell. There will still be shitheel bootlickers saying "wouldn't have been arrested if he just sat down and ate" or "arrest the parents, too. bad apple don't fall far from the tree"

People never do things for a reason, everyone is a completely seperate from cause and effect and we're all completely rational beings. Of course you should arrest the kid!

They were actually covering this on TMZ. The rhetoric on there was very critical of the cops, a nice change from the usual local news propaganda.

“ Officer Michael Malgrat, one of three officers named in the lawsuit Tuesday, said in the report that the boy “had his hands clenched into fists and he was postured as if he was ready to fight” ”

Jesus. And the officer was scared for his life. What a weeny, class-traitorous sociopath. Would say kids lucky he didn’t get a gun pulled on him as well.

And shit, the PTSD that kid must have from remembering the jail cell close. :loudly crying face:

You'd think that if cops wanted to protect their image, they'd refrain from acting like cartoonishly evil supervillains and just stick to the types of repression that the public can be conditioned to accept.

I hope the teacher that called the cops on an 8-year old boy recovers from the injuries from what must have been a viscous straight punch from the 60 pound boy. Prayers sent.
