Reddit is having it out about how China is mandating patriotic films be shown for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC at least twice a week this year.
When told that the US cinemas screen US propaganda 8-10 hours a day (have you watched Marvel, Transformers, Top Gun, Zero Dark Thirty, American Sniper, etc.) apparently that doesn't count because it's not government mandated... lol. Yeah, I guess it just happens because the DOD hands out tons of equipment and gets final script approval and the US government is already run by big business including hollywood. None of that counts as a state mandate.
This. Security cameras usually automatically overwrite their footage after a day to a day and a half to save on storage. They'll only check them if something happened in the store or they're suspicious. Be careful out there comrade XiZ
Imagine, if you will, a world identical to ours except Tucker Carlson's "looking serious and concentrating" face is a ahegao face
found the thing that will turn my older nephew off anime if only he knew who Tucker Carlson was
You know the worst thing about days off work?
Every time you go to the bathroom it isn't on company time, smh. :sadness-abysmal:
Hold that piss and shit in! A true communist keeps all their fluids in until company time
I have thought about this but thanks for the reminder.
SFS will do his own research, I'm sure, but I'd say it's also worth noting that it can be difficult in some countries to jump from ESL teaching to literally anything else. Wide variance though.
Going to get my puppy today!! Haven’t seen her in 5 days! :party-blob: :doggo-matapacos:
Want me to read theory? Marx didn't even read Capitol volumes 2 and 3!
You know I'm a lib because I didn't even spell the book correctly smh
Low-key wondering about how many cases of psychiatric disorders would disappear in a true egalitarian communist society. At this point I'm honestly thinking more than half the current amount - so many cases of depression are linked to overworking, lack of local community, and the like; so many cases of suicide are linked to non-acceptance of gay or trans people. Not to mention, there are quite a few signs in anthropology that even stuff such as schizophrenia can vary widely and even be relatively benign in different cultural contexts.
Social scientists have been on this shit since forever. Suicide by Emile Durkheim details how the alienation of living in an alienated capitalist society drives people towards depression and suicide and it was written in 1897
boss makes a dollar
i make a dime
that's why I shit

J. Edgar Hoover is such an indictment of America, if he was anywhere else we would talk about him like an evil mastermind behind the secret police, but since it's here he is just like...this weird guy who ran the FBI for decades and did some shady stuff, woah look crossdressing what a weird character.
Made M&M cookies for my nephew and all he did was pick out the chocolates and throw out the cookie part.
Owned.
On the bright side, it sounds like he'll be worrying about himself soon with meals like that!
