Yeah, the rationale was "hire every talent you can get, you'll need them someday. If not, at least you're starving the competition of good people by hoarding them." This resulted in the infamous "adult daycare center" video where the lady brags about how great her day is at Twitter and shows off all the amenities like yoga classes, espresso machine in the employee lounge, the rooftop wine bar, etc. It got all these chuds to scream "but you didn't do any actual work!" It was a wonderful moment. Well, at least before Elon took over and burned the place down.

Disney is the chief exponent of propaganda for the ungulate industrial complex and fuck them.

Ron DeSantis has entered the chat.

  • A lot of people are going to be angry about this, but not me. I'm just smiling quietly. This is yet another step along the long road to balkanization and an eventual second civil war. Murka's doing down, folks. It'll be a while, though. Another 20 years or so of this and it will be ready to break.

Wait for the tat to this tit, where California or New York issues a declaration that nazis are not welcome and will be met with open hostility and violence. Then that orange on a Florida license plate will be toxic and result in the drivers being pulled out and beaten up...and then a tit for that tat, and so on and so forth. This has happened before in many other countries and the script is being followed correctly.

  • But educated professionals don't want to live next to the poors! Their peers might get them confused together!

You've got to live in a respectable ZIP code. Look it up on Zillow and it's got to have the right demographics. Fail this test, and get a low score the next time you have to pass through the HR gauntlet. Like attracts like. Top tech talents don't eat breakfast at the Waffle House.

There are a substantial cohort of people who simply enjoy spending time in their living spaces. They like to make these spaces comfortable and tending to growing things brings them psychic rewards. It's deeply rooted in our psyche. I recently moved into an apartment with a flower box and boy, I had no idea you could get so much pleasure from a couple of herbs growing in pots. I love watering them and watching them grow and pruning them. I wish I had a much larger area to take care of. Maybe a house...with a yard...

Its… an interesting watch but it’s also janky as hell. The editing is weird, most of the comedy doesn’t land, there really isn’t much of a story to tie all the comedy vignettes together, and there’s some dated cultural references.

That's...friggen intentional! It's supposed to be an off, unsettling movie! The trading cards it's based on were off and unsettling. If that's how you felt then the movie did its job!

  • It was Beijing's ruinous salt tax that forced the Sichuanese to use chili peppers to flavor their food. A major source of income was taxing salt. It's demonic in its evilness. Either pay the sky-high price or have food with no taste. Salt is an important nutrient that is essential in our cells, which is why we are rewarded for consuming it with the sensation of good taste. So they were forced into using peppers, which let's just be clear here, hurt. The government forced people to hurt rather than eat bland, flavorless food. Demonic.

  • MREs are expensive as fuck.

And they're not for camping. They're for soldiers who are experiencing high levels of stress and physical activity every day. They are full of candy, caffeine and other quick-energy foods and drinks. The main dishes will clog your colon up like a buttplug.
