What is the thing with reactionary white guys being aggressively proud of woefully badly prepared food?

Who convinced them that they could own the SJW's by demonstratively eating utter crap?

I always tell my coworkers how offended I am when people don't want their pastries heated up. Like, you're going to bother a cow like that and then not care at all how it tastes?

My money's on baked. Maybe their oven has one of those preset slow roast settings?

Anyone who eats meat and is (correctly) disgusted by this image, just know this is how vegans feel all the time lol

Depends, I feel like thats on a personal basis. For example thinking about drinking milk makes me gag thinking about the sour nasty aftertaste of pus and blood, but I still crave scrambled eggs all the time because I eat enough vegan scrambled eggs that my brain doesn't have as hard of a line drawn for disgust of taste.

I think the original comment is referring to a deeper disgust at the violence and suffering that goes into meat. vegans see a corpse of a brutalized animal, not food. the disgust would be similar to a non-vegan seeing people enjoy a roasted dog corpse.

The guy is now saying it was a joke. He's apparently a food writer for some Houston magazine or paper, so there could be some legitimacy to that. But also it wasn't funny, so idk if it counts as a joke.

Do these guys even know that sauces exist?

This doesn't even look bad, just dry as fuck.

You claim you eat animals to respect their sacrifice, yet you insult them with your cooking. Curious.

The fact that this is just meat is weirding me out. If I made a fucking brisket it would have tomatoes and onions and carrots and all sorts of shit alongside it, cooking in the juices of the brisket. The amount of wasted opportunity deeply offends me. It makes it look even worse.

Pride in what? The ability to somehow remove flavor from the most basic foods?
