I think I'd go for some kind of science officer. I'm watching a scene right now where one is melting stuff and then holding the fumes under glass for whatever reason. Seems up my alley

I guess to do that effectively beginning in Starfleet I need to get a following or at least fly vessels, so I guess I shoot for pilot and captain and then revolt.
If you're a captain you can break the prime Directive whenever you want. The only people above you on the ladder are secretly evil anyway
Yeah but I think I basically need to build an entire force of people to secure and expand our activities and I think we might get shot at if I try to just be a cool captain within Starfleet.
