    My first response was AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    My second response was AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

My third response was "you know what, fuck it, if this gets more people on board with workers making decisions at this early stage of class consciousness then, whatever"

same, while it's very incorrect if it lets people who have been red scared into thinking Communism = Evil then tricking them into think that Socialism is totally different might actually be a good idea. Same with people always calling government run programs Socialism, not exactly a bad thing to be associated with and could make it easier to get people on board for some real Socialism down the line as negative associations fade.

Yup, even if this is an op it's still a net positive. If the word "socialism" loses its Cold War baggage that will at worst make it easier to do stuff like universal healthcare, and at best get people to do a bit of reading and start to actually understand what these terms mean.
