They are actually fleeing NYC right now. It’s kind of crazy how empty midtown has been after the end of each month when leases run out. Shitty 2k-for-a-pair-of-shoes boutiques shutting down everywhere, furniture all over the sides of the road every last week of the month. There already were so few reasons to waste the money to live in Manhattan anymore, especially in an overpriced “luxury” apartment that is only 550 square feet; now that everything is shut down the rich kids are really realizing how hollow this city is if you aren’t actually attached to it.
