There aren't many influencers I like on YouTube, but I'm already finding TikTokers (at least since I started using it "for serious") that I just find useful and that even give good info or interesting viewpoints.
Plus, YouTube... I mean, every YouTuber makes super-long videos... What happened to at least occasionally making short-videos? Hell, just give me a good 5 or 10 or 15-minute one, maybe 20 minutes at best from time to time.
Can't switch from one video to the next seemlessly; every one of 'em is a committment, to one degree or another...
Everyone is min-maxing the algorithm (or their imagined version of it). Runtime, thumbnails, titles, everything is created for the algorithm instead of the viewer.
Trey the Explainer is awesome. His videos are more geared towards ancient civilizations and prehistoric animals, but usually the more niche subjects like cryptozoology, biblical inspirations and history, con artists
