Why would you smoke something and deliberatelynot inhale? The dinguses who cooked up cigars missed the entire point of smoking. Get that shit in my lungs or stop wasting my breath.

It's tasty? You're not putting hot plant matter down into your lungs? You still get buzzed as fuck because it's a shitton of tobacco? Fuck ciagrettes, cigars are a delight.

Yea, cigars are tasty and give you a way nicer buzz than ciggies. I quit cigarettes and went into pipe and cigars because i'm an insufferable hipster like that, and also because burnt tobacco with few or no additives tastes/smells nice.

Pipes taste and smell much better, plus pipe tobacco is exponentially cheaper. They just require a lot more activity to smoke (which I prefer, I get impatient with cigars) and you don't get the satisfaction of really fat clouds like you do with cigars since the smoke tends to be thinner.

Because nicotine make stress go down for 2 seconds before you need to smonk again

Plus back in the day most folks didnt make it to an age where they'd get cancer anyhow

Also a cultural thing I guess? Idk

Nicotine doesn't make stress go down. Smoking aleviates your nicotine withdrawal, which feels like stress go down.

It absorbs through your lip and cheek lining. Similar to chewing tobacco.

Cigar smoke is far more intense than cigarette smoke, so you don't need to inhale. Feel free, though. Hack, hack, hack.

I can have about one or two cigars a year. But then I can't taste anything the next day. I actually prefer those thin Clint Eastwood style cigarillos. They taste the same and are much shorter. A cigar can last an hour, easy.

I'm not a smoker but from what I understand it's because the smoke from a cigar is too harsh to inhale. From what I understand inhalable tobacco smoke is a relatively recent development and counterintuitively actually made smoking even more harmful

Great article about that here: https://www.currentaffairs.org/2021/02/knowledge-is-not-power-why-cigarettes-still-appeal

It's not too harsh, it just has way too much nicotine. Even if you are a regular smoker, if you I have cigar smoke it will make you lightheaded and possibly vomit. If you aren't a smoker, two lung hits of a cigar is almost 100% going to make you vomit, and you may even faint.

Cigarettes differ from most commodities in two important ways. First, they cause cancer.

Alcohol is also an incredibly powerful carcinogen, it's just that consuming 12 beers a day is a lot rougher on your ability to function vs smoking a pack a day. Plus middle class weenies like a drink and they can't complain about it being yucky.

If I understand right there are more nicotine receptors in your cheeks and gums than in your lungs, so it works well. And they smell way fucking better than cigarettes

    Bad: white Americans smoking cigars

    Good: Cubans smoking cigars

    Does this clear it up?
