Some people just need to be pointed in the right direction for getting involved or donating. I genuinely believe a lot of people here want to help in times like these but just don't know where to start. I want to use my position to make that kind of information as easily accessible as possible. This platform has the potential to be a major force for good if we can get back to subreddit numbers. The areas that are getting hit by this storm are pretty poor and have very high minority populations. Fuck those assholes. It shouldn't even matter, there's no fucking political affiliation in a Cat 4 Hurricane.

I looked at their Form 990s, their ratio of contribution and grant revenue to donations to local non-profits seemed reasonable to me. Salaries and other overhead were very reasonable as well. Much lower than I was expecting. You can find these here.
