As a genetic freak of nature, I never had wisdom teeth

That being said, I hope you have a speedy and safe recovery

When they got mine out I remember they broke one when they were prying it out. Did you have any break too also did they have to take out any other teeth to get access to them?

did you try to ask the cute nurse dude who walked you out to your ride waiting in the parking lot because I did and he was like "you've asked me this like four times and I've already told you that I'm not into men..." :virgil-sad:

I have been making fruit smoothies and scrambled eggs. Mostly they were worried about me burning my mouth because I got this painkiller that numbs everything up.

I wish! Impacted means they are still fully or partially lodged in the jaw bone because your jaw doesn't have space for them to erupt. I had one fun one that was actually growing in horizontally so the crown was pushing up against the side of the tooth.

My wife still has all four of her wisdom teeth and in her x-rays they are all doing this. Were they causing you pain?

Mine were partially erupted and were impossible to keep clean so they had started to decay, and the doctor said the decay could spread to other teeth.

Cus we are a kludge of code that has been running an environmentally dependent optimization protocol for billions of years? We are basically a series of bugs, bandaids and kludge held together by duct tape. Have yo seen knees?

What should I do with my evening after work? Gonna take the corgi on a long walk in about 2 hours while some edibles kick in, and then will have about 4 hours to kill before the partner gets home/dinner time/bed. Do I watch a zombie movie I've never seen, read some Lovecraft, play vidya, or something else?

I had 3/4 out at one time years ago. I was effusively grateful to the dentist and his staff on the way out, thanking them multiple times as my ride tried to get me into the car to go home. They pumped me full of so much anaesthetic I didn't remember anything until I woke up in my own bed, so my experience was "Okay, now count backwards from 10" followed by waking up at home going "what am I doing at home, why is it suddenly dark outside, and why is my face sore and damp?" and then I caught up and remembered that I had my wisdom teeth out.

Anyways, how you doing? You have someone around to take care of you?

I was hyped up because of the stories I'd heard but turns out you just wake up groggy with a numb face and bleeding gums. Also they used both N2O and IV anesthetic to knock me out and I still remember waiting 15+ minutes pre operation like "damn when is this stuff gonna kick in?"

Yeah, I had the same experience basically. It made me feel kina goofy and fuzzy and then bamn it was over an hour later zero memory.
