Big time, Luffy once punched a slaver in the face as hard as he could and he's caused not one but two prison riots, the first time after breaking into prison
I recommend watching the anime but skipping the filler
Also worker uprisings occur and they're led by a man who looks a lot like Che Guevara. The revolutionary army has a steampunk anarchist design to them.
I will say its a great read, it doesnt suffer the same pacing issues when you binge it (though week to week, 4 years for an arc to end is extremely brutal lol)
It certainly does but guess they subtle, I really recommend this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bD5ZRhOd0ig&t=111s may not make much sense but as you can see it very good.

The vast majority of the show is not filler at all. Like less than 5% probably lol.
It does however suffer from pacing issues after a certain point. "Filler scenes" in canon material.

But hey nothing is for everyone!
:this: also @ExtinctionEntity I really recommend looking up something called one piece kai. It's an edit that skips the filter.

Some dude on reddit edited up to the end of the first part before the timeskip. It'll last you a while at least.
Seek out One Pace as well, as it has everything after the timeskip. And much before it.
Second this. Got my gf into one piece by using this to cut through some of the more boring/slow parts in the beginning
:isaac-pog: thanks for this tip
