This is cool and good. Also, the DSA alderman not responding to WGN's request for a quote is funny to me.

100%. Christians will typically go to a Christian book store because, well, they have lots of bibles to choose from. Folks usually have a specific translation in mind they want, or if they want footnotes (a "study bible"), etc. It can be a fairly personal purchase. The idea that she just waltzed into a lefty bookstore to buy one strains credulity.

Not only that, but to but a bigger bible, because she already had one.

The Bolivians should make sure Jeanie Anez is still locked up in her cell, sounds like she might be walking around Chicago posing as a cop. Always in search of a bigger bible.

      If she's even real.

The bookstore not flat out directly responding means, it's VERY possible that the Facebook cop isn't real.

Also not mentioned in the story but visible in the cops whiny post is that deedee megadoodoo walked in strapped (“I was asked to leave because of my equipment”). Then she said she was on duty and therefore allowed to carry. The need to have a piece while buying a fucking bible (lol) perfectly illustrates the rotten cop mindset and why they are banned in the first place, tldr

Literally the two before it just say "one comment read", "another comment read". But with the wrong viewpoint it becomes "said a man who did not wish to be named".

Being in the vicinity of a cop with a gun at their waist always kills the vibe while in a store. They should have a special hour or two in the morning where they are allowed to shop similar to what was done for the elderly in the early days of the pandemic in the US. After that they would not be allowed in any stores

Or just get their errands done when they're off the clock like everyone else.

Seriously, the biggest standout in this news story to me was why is this motherfucker doing their shopping on the taxpayer's dime? I'm pretty sure if I started telling my boss a story about how I was refused service at some store during my working hours, the conversation wouldn't be focused on how unfair and mean the store was.

Or you know just leave your gun in the car. Or come back when you’re not in uniform. It’s that need to constantly intimidate, they can’t shake it

Actually, cops should never be allowed to shop, for any reason, at any time.

It's not the same store, but shout out to the Moon Palace bookstore in Minneapolis. They have the same policy. Also, they're right next to the Third Precinct (the one that burned down) and, during the uprising, they refused to let cops stage from their parking lot or even use it at all.
