It's a from a local Houston restaurant chain called Pancho's that my family used to frequent when I was a kid. I don't know how many are still left. At the end they would always bring you sopapilla and honey.

Honestly I'm a fan of any way to indicate you need things other than trying to flag down the waitstaff who are probably busy. I was once in a foreign country and had forgotten the protocol for paying the bill so I was stuck at my table for close to two hours until someone came over and accepted payment. Not blaming them, it was just an intensely awkward moment.
