      Many of them are much better looking and smoother in presentation, which is where the real hazard lies.

      i met my group of friends on reddit and we used to do the reddit meetups and yeah a lot of them were like this.

      No, it's a harmless scapegoat to laugh at. It's less depressing to think "damn life a movie" than the reality that 99% of bad dates are just boring and awkward because you don't vibe, not because they're an insecure reddit nerd or a huge jerk.
