I mean I knew it wasn’t exactly common, but I didn’t realize how weird some people found it until today when my friend came over to my apartment and asked why there was a chair in front of the toilet. He looked at me like I belonged in an insane asylum. Is it really that weird?

also, as a person who has cleaned many toilets, I can assure you that it is much less horrific to clean the toilets of sitting-pissers than standing-pissers — standing-pissers are getting piss all over everything — and that if you can possibly deal with sitting to piss, you are doing a huge kindness to whoever cleans that toilet
take a load off, rest a minute, be nice to your toilet cleaners - the benefits are numerous
