yeah. they divide each episode into 3 segments. the first is news (harry potter or jkr related), the second is the chapter(s) they read, and the third is miscellaneous. they spent at least one third segment looking through the harry potter sacred texts stuff, maybe more.
also the patreon bonus episodes are the reason i read the when they cry series, which is super close to my heart now.
edit: it's worth noting that they have some long episodes, especially whenever joanne does something especially heinous they need to talk about in the news segment. a few of those episodes reach 3 or 4 hours, which is a lot

I listened to every single episode of West Wing Thing despite having never seen an episode of The West Wing. shaun's harry potter video really reminded me of the shriekcast, so if you liked that you'll probably like them. i don't remember if it's the first episode, but in one of the first few episodes they explicitly call jkr a terf, before she really had anything beyond that one 'middle aged moment', and they really document the whole mask off process.
