When you really want to murder someone but can't get the right bodycam footage to justify it.

"it's time to move the night on" pig chief must have been running late for his nightly dog shooting

also, kid is self-barricaded in a car with a knife. Who the fuck is in danger here, and if these pigs claim they felt endangered then why are you standing next to the window for an entire hour?

And if they felt endangered because he had a knife why keep asking him to step outside the car? Pigs can't even keep their story straight.

Interesting thing about cops is wildly their competence ranges from place to place, even with combat skills. I've seen some of the most incompetent cops in states like Louisiana that only had their gun going for them and would likely easily lose in an urban warfare situation. Then you get the NYPD that are big and pumped with enough money to be the standing military of a small power.

Is this that "Herbivore vs. Carnivore" toxic masculinity shit police have amongst each other?

I have no idea, but it has more to do with the economic situation across each state. They're poorly trained in deep southern states and get less funds than other states like New York or California, ironically enough with how much cops hate those states.

Feds will crack down on any of this shit, it’s only possible in the event of breakdown of federal power in a region. Also be careful talking like this online, even vaguely

Yeah good point. Even high level analysis of the situation is enough to get someone pre-crimed. Local police will always be pushovers, but in the end, they aren't meant to be the last line of defense, just a stopgap for gendarmerie/national guard involvement and slaughter.

Yeah this is a good reminder that 911 will bring the police with them even if it's for something like a medical emergency. It's for the best not to call 911 unless it's absolutely necessary.

In <bad country> if you call for an ambulance or fire truck, the regime will send its police forces to execute you.

yeah i'm by no means trying to imply that he made a mistake here, i just always feel the need to emphasize that whenever possible until people really internalize it

So I recently had the misfortune of living the hypothetical we all dread. Everyone in the neighborhood knows that a man who lives in my building abuses his partner. We've all heard the slammed doors, the screamed threats, etc. Nobody has ever called the cops because my street is still lined with defund the police signs and this man is black and we all know what could happen. The shouting and slammed doors escalated to a life or death situation. She kicked him out, he came back and smashed in the window, opened the front door and dragged her out in the street. He was standing over her with a deadly weapon, threating to kill her if she didn't give him money. My options were to call the police and hope they actually show up before he kills her, do nothing and hope someone else intervenes, run downstairs and confront him with a firearm, or run downstairs and confront him with just my body. Options A and B run the risk of one or both of them getting killed and me feeling like a horrible person, options C runs the risk of me getting killed by the cops if they show up while I have my legally owned firearm drawn in public and option D runs the risk of me getting killed by someone armed with a deadly weapon when I am unarmed. I'm not saying call the cops, I'm not saying don't call the cops, all I'm saying is this country is massively fucked up, nothing means anything anymore, working people have zero faith in bourgeois institutions and we need a fucking revolution.

Unfortunately we live in the world we live in, so sometimes the cops are the only option.

That's really scary, hope you and your neighbor are doing okay

She had some scrapes and bruises, but wasn't seriously hurt. She's been served with eviction papers since, though, and will likely be homeless just as it starts to get cold, I'm physically fine, but psychologically I'm a mess. Obviously nobody should physically harm another person, but I can't not wonder if, in a world where they werent so broke they couldn't afford rent, would this ever have happened.

If you think the police are going to arrive: have your hands up, speak clearly, immediately comply to all orders or suggestions. Be white if possible.

me putting on my best anglo accent and scrubbing my brain of any weird czech tics that i have so that i dont get shot for being a russian spy

these types of american police shootings feel like they are straight out of a fucking Kafka book. incomprehensible and nonsensical borderline bureaucratic shit where there's no recourse. fucking maddening.
